HISTORY OF NEW JERUSALEM
(Bishop Horace Chambers, Founder and Senior Pastor)

On July 19, 2005, God spoke to Bishop Chambers in a dream and said, “When you go back into your house; this will be your name; your name will be New Jerusalem”.

Working under the instructions and guidance of God, Bishop Chambers kept this in his heart until directed by God to speak this to others.

New Jerusalem’s doors were opened in 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 3619 N. 22nd Street.  You can see the Hand of God moving as we strive to keep Jesus Christ First In Everything we do.

Starting out with (3) three faithful members in the home of Bishop Horace and First Lady Deaconess Sharon Chambers, history of a new movement began in the Church of the Living God.

At New Jerusalem, we preach Love, Faith, Forgiveness, and Living a Holy Life.  We teach that all must give their whole heart to God in Love, Obedience, Trust, Prayer, and Repentance.
